A Big 4 accounting firm in New York City. Burnout came first. Then my marriage of twelve years ended without warning. I didn't get out of bed for six months. By the time I surfaced, I was 34 years old and facing a diagnosis list that included CPTSD, chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, hormonal imbalance and adrenal fatigue — and the very real possibility of managing it all with medication for the rest of my life.

Something about hitting that bottom made me move. I committed to healing completely — as if my life depended on it. I turned to acupuncture, Chinese and Ayurvedic herbs, nutrition, and the kind of medicine that asks why rather than simply managing what. It worked. Faster than I expected, and more completely than I thought possible.

I realised then that everything I'd learned — through study and through my own body — could help other women stuck in that same place of confusion, exhaustion, and disconnection from themselves.

I trained as a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist in Berkeley, California, deepening my practice through Ayurvedic health counselling and integrative nutrition. I eventually found my way back to myself — and to a new life. I remarried, and went on to conceive my children naturally and without difficulty in my late thirties and early forties. That felt like the deepest confirmation that this medicine works: not just for my patients, but in my own body, after everything it had been through.

When my training was complete, I made a decision: I didn't want to just practice this medicine. I wanted to live it.

I moved to Mallorca with my family — drawn by simplicity, nature, and the kind of life that actually matches the values I'd built my practice around. One day there will be a herb garden. There are already ferments.
